About The Position

This position is responsible for reading work orders and assembling trucks within the allotted time by coordinating work within the department and with other departments. The role involves reporting pertinent information to the supervisor and responding to inquiries. This is a safety-sensitive position that requires compliance with all company safety policies, including drug- and alcohol-free workplace requirements. Individuals in this role are subject to various drug and alcohol tests.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficient mechanical skills.
Proficient 12-volt wiring skills.
Proficient hydraulic plumbing skills.
Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills.
Demonstrated interpersonal relations and communicative skills.
Proficient PC skills including Office products.
Visual and auditory skills.
Ability to stand, sit, bend, reach, climb, and lift items weighing 40 lbs. or less.
Ability to operate heavy machinery, power tools, or equipment.
Ability to work at elevated heights or in confined spaces.
Ability to work in a loud environment.
Must comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
Must comply with company’s drug- and alcohol-free workplace requirements.
Subject to pre-employment, random, post-incident, and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

Reads work orders and assembles trucks in the time allotted.

Clocks in job number information.
Assembles trucks using basic hand tools and power tools according to instructions.
Communicates issues with supervisor and parts attendant.
Assists in training new employees.
Works with hand tools and power tools.
Operates overhead crane.
Works with a partner.
Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel and departments for efficient flow of information, parts, materials, and procedures.
Abides by laws and organizational policies to promote an environment free of harassment and illegal discriminatory behavior.
Cooperates with, participates in, and supports adherence to internal policies, procedures, and practices for risk management, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested or on a schedule.
Compiles information and provides data to appropriate personnel.
Responds to inquiries related to their area or from customers/personnel within given time frames and policy.
Performs supportive tasks that may be altered or redesigned depending on individual circumstances.
