About The Position

Supports the implementation and ongoing success of the district’s Aspiring Educator Pathway (AEP) through coaching, observation, and program support. This role works closely with aspiring educators, mentor teachers, school leaders, and the AEP team to ensure strong day-to-day execution of the program. Responsibilities include supporting apprentice development, strengthening mentor practice, teaching pathway-aligned college coursework as an adjunct instructor, and ensuring alignment between coursework and on-the-job learning.

Requirements

  • Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
  • Master's degree in education or related field
  • Five (5) years of successful teaching experience
  • Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license
  • Must meet qualifications to serve as an adjunct instructor through the district’s higher education partner
  • Strong instructional coaching and feedback skills
  • Ability to support and develop adult learners
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and sites
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Responsibilities

  • Provide coaching, guidance, and ongoing support to Aspiring Educators to strengthen instructional practice, professionalism, and success in both coursework and on-the-job learning.
  • Conduct classroom observations of Aspiring Educators and provide timely, actionable feedback aligned to program expectations and teaching standards.
  • Provide ongoing training, resources, and coaching for AEP mentors to strengthen their ability to support and develop apprentices.
  • Monitor apprentice progress by collaborating with mentors and school leaders, reviewing available data, and supporting proactive intervention strategies when additional support is needed.
  • Teach AEP-aligned college coursework as an adjunct instructor through the district’s higher education partner, ensuring alignment between coursework and classroom practice.
  • Support coordination and consistency of mentorship experiences across AEP sites, including communication with school leaders and mentor teachers.
  • Support implementation of AEP program structures, including learning labs, seminars, and supported study sessions.
  • Support mentors and school leaders in the evaluation of apprentices by providing input, evidence, and feedback aligned to program competencies and expectations.
  • Partner with AEP leadership and district teams to ensure alignment with Colorado Department of Education (CDE) apprenticeship guidelines and licensure requirements.
  • Contribute to planning and support of summer programming and work-based learning opportunities for Aspiring Educators.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
