About The Position

This Aspiring Educational Psychologist role is ideal for a Psychology graduate, or a graduate from a related discipline, who wants to understand how vulnerable children are supported in school before taking the next step towards Educational Psychology. The role involves providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs, including those with SEND, SEMH, behavioural needs, and barriers to learning. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, pastoral teams, and external professionals to help pupils access learning, build confidence, regulate emotions, and stay engaged in school. This position offers hands-on experience with intervention work, behaviour support, safeguarding, and inclusive classroom practice.

Requirements

  • A graduate with a Psychology degree or closely related subject.
  • A clear interest in becoming an Educational Psychologist.
  • Motivated to gain school-based experience supporting vulnerable children before further training.
  • Calm, resilient, patient, and confident working with pupils who may present challenging behaviour.
  • Able to commit to a full-time, term-time role in Camden from September 2026.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with children, young people, SEN, SEMH, or vulnerable individuals is desirable.
