About The Position

We are currently looking for an experienced Asphalt Raker to work seasonally in a full-time capacity, in various locations throughout Edmonton. The successful candidate must be able to align with the company's core values: Commitment, Attitude and Respect.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Asphalt Raking supporting the Paving Crews is required
• Minimum 1 years of labourer experience assisting crews and operating construction equipment is required
• Knowledge of the safe operation of associated tools and municipal road building industry is required
• Willingness and ability to perform strenuous physical work for prolonged periods of time and weekends often under pressure is required
• Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license or above with a clean drivers abstract
• High attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to follow directions is required
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions is required
• Valid safety certifications are required

Nice To Haves

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently with little supervision is highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Spread asphalt using efficient techniques and maintaining the required pace for the job
• Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labour and use of hands and tools
• Maintain and clean job site, pick up tools and equipment in order to eliminate potential hazards
• Other duties as required
