About The Position

Elevate is seeking a Packager Asphalt who’s ready to be part of a people-first company offering best-in-class products, exceptional training, and deep industry pride—all built to help our partners and team succeed. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the operation of the production lines by setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting the packaging area. This includes but is not limited to placing finished products on pallets, wrapping, labeling and moving pallets. The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and professional appearance of finished goods and packaging. The pay rate is $28.06 per hour for one position on night shift.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Be able to communicate clearly with all employees
  • Must be able to lift between 50 pounds
  • Must be able to bend/ stoop, sit and stand
  • Work in both hot and cold environments
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit test.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of vocational training or an Associate's Degree are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper packaging and staging of finished product.
  • Follow all job-related work instructions.
  • Maintain a supply of necessary packaging materials in the packaging area.
  • Ensure that the proper packaging supplies include but are not limited to labels.
  • Keep a record of pallets produced and batch numbers, recording information on daily reports.
  • Maintain and operate the shrink frame system.
  • Record and label all finished goods packaged.
  • Ensure machinery is operating efficiently.
  • Inspection of packaging quality.
  • Report any non-adherence to quality standards, defects, and malfunctions with equipment and any problems encountered and method used to correct, at the end of each shift.
  • Clean, organize and dispose of all waste, during and at the end of shift.
  • General housekeeping duties.
  • Assist in production paperwork and training of new hires as applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned.
