About The Position
Kokosing Materials, Inc. (KMI) is hiring an Asphalt Plant Groundman to inspect, clean, and repair mechanical equipment related to its asphalt plants. The role requires attention to detail, initiative, and willingness to assist with other responsibilities as needed to complete the work. The position may involve day or night shifts, weekends, and travel. Candidates must be able to understand work directions and methods and maintain awareness in a busy project environment. KMI has operated in the asphalt production industry since 1980, with 19 plants across central and Northern Ohio and liquid asphalt terminals in Wheelersburg and Mansfield. The company emphasizes safety, integrity, quality, and sustainability.
Requirements
- Knowledge of asphalt plants.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Initiative and willingness to perform and assist with other responsibilities as requested.
- Willingness to work day or night shifts, including weekends.
- Willingness to travel.
- Ability to understand directions and instructions on work methods and processes.
- Ability to maintain a high level of awareness in a busy project work environment.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of operating track excavators, backhoes, dozers, loaders, rollers, forklifts, and other equipment.
