About The Position

Rogers Group, Inc. is seeking an Asphalt Paving Equipment Operator in Central Arkansas, based out of Conway, Arkansas. The ideal candidate will be familiar and experienced in operating equipment such as Pavers, Rollers, Skid Steers, and other related equipment. Rogers Group, Inc. is a privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company operating in 13 states with over 3,500 employees, established in 1908, and recognized as the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States.

Requirements

• An uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move heavy objects.
• Ability to work outdoors which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
• Valid Drivers License required
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug tests and random testing.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of 1-2 years of asphalt paving experience is preferred.
• Experience working with road construction in high traffic areas including some experience with MUTCD traffic control preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
• Perform daily pre- and post- inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.
• Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights used in road, site or highway construction and paving.
• Ability to properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Follow directions of Supervisor as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or job.
• Perform general labor duties when necessary, and other duties as assigned.
• Willingness to work overtime, nights and weekends, as necessary.
