About The Position

Valiant is seeking an ASOTC Instructor to research, develop, and write doctrine and deliver instruction supporting Special Forces missions. The instructor coordinates with and briefs military and civilian officials, and prepares, coordinates, executes, and supervises field training exercises in urban and rural environments throughout the continental United States (CONUS). The role includes safeguarding Government property and classified documents, securing entrusted equipment and materials, and taking appropriate steps to prevent damage or loss. Travel to CONUS locations is required as directed by the company or customer, along with other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance.
• Graduate of the ASOTC Course and the Special Forces Qualification Course or Seal Qualification Course.
• At least 4 years of Special Operations experience.
• Familiarity with training and governing policies and procedures for Emerald Nomad programs within USSOCOM.
• Knowledge of the most recent regulations and doctrine governing the course.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak clearly to instruct, evaluate, and counsel trainees on subtle and difficult subject matter.
• Knowledge of and skill in the TRADOC-approved Systems Approach to Training (SAT).
• Ability to meet physical demands that may include lifting, ascending and descending stairs, climbing, and extended sitting or standing.
• Must maintain a high degree of physical fitness to handle the position's physical demands, including work in extreme heat and cold, moving 6 miles per day over rough terrain, and working non-standard hours.

Nice To Haves

• At least 10 years of Special Operations Forces experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Travel to CONUS locations as required by the company and/or customer.
• Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned by the customer.
