About The Position
Refrigeration Vessels & Systems (RVS), a subsidiary of EVAPCO, Inc., is seeking to hire ASME Welder/Fabricators with Pressure Vessel experience. RVS is a leading manufacturer of pressure vessels and vessel package systems for the Industrial Refrigeration and Industrial Process industries. ASME Code Welder/Fabricators are responsible for welding various components onto vessels, including nozzles, heads, flanges, test connections, and internals, according to specifications. Applicants must be proficient in Pulsed MIG welding to ASME Section VIII code standards. The role involves training on the day shift (Monday-Friday, 8 hours/day, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm) with the primary work schedule being the second shift (Monday-Thursday, 10 hours/day, 8:30 pm - 7:00 am). Future opportunities to apply for day shift positions will be available.
Requirements
- Certification or ability to pass certification in carbon steel with Pulsed MIG (GMAW-P) in the horizontal & vertical positions.
- Capable of reading blueprints including weld symbols.
- Capable of vessel layout, carbon-arc gouging & oxy-fuel cutting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Experience welding/fitting vessels, 2 plus years.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Occupational Assessment, including drug test.
- Background screening.
Nice To Haves
- Pipe welding experience in GTAW & GMAW-P in the 6G position.
- Open root welds from one side with GMAW-P.
- Experience producing X-ray quality welds.
- Capable of fitting up weldments with consideration for tolerance, shrinkage, & heat induced distortion.
- Experience with stainless steel.
Responsibilities
- Welding all features onto the vessel including, but not limited to nozzles, heads, flanges, test connections, internals among other specified items.
- Using Pulsed MIG welding to ASME Section VIII code specifications.
- Training on day shift before transitioning to second shift.
- Future opportunities to apply for day shift positions.
