ASL (American Sign Language) Interpreter
About The Position
Hanna Interpreting Services LLC is seeking ASL (American Sign Language) Interpreters to work as freelance interpreters in a 1099 Independent Contractor role. As an interpreter, you will make a positive contribution to society by supporting language access for everyone, regardless of their proficiency with the English language. As an independent contractor, you will act as your own boss, set your availability, and accept appointments based on your schedule. Appointments are available Monday - Friday, but are not guaranteed and are offered based on need. Interpreter rates can vary depending on availability, experience, and demand.
Requirements
- Exhibit proficiency in ASL (American Sign Language).
- Be willing to complete ASL (American Sign Language) assessment by a Certified ASL Professional (exceptions can be made with proven work history and certifications).
- Complete all required documents in a timely manner.
- Must be located in and authorized to work in the US (We do not offer visa sponsorship).
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience interpreting in a professional or volunteer capacity.
