About The Position
The ASL Interpreter provides American Sign Language interpretation for students during classroom instruction and school activities. The role facilitates communication between students, teachers, and staff, and supports student participation in academic and social settings. The position is located in Farmersville, California, and is called in on an as-needed, day-by-day basis through the end of the Extended School Year (ESY).
Requirements
- Meet the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) minimum score requirement for K–12 settings; the posting notes that this is often 3.5 or higher.
- Demonstrate proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
- Have strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Be able to adapt to varying classroom environments.
