About The Position

The Aseptic Technician Lead role entails the execution of setup, breakdown, repairs, and preventive maintenance of equipment and systems used for conveying sterile containers and liquid filling of vials/ampules. This position is part of a multi-shift operation and may require assignment to a regular off shift and/or weekends schedule.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 10 years of previous relevant experience in a manufacturing working environment required.
  • 5 years prior experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Use of small hand tools such as multi-meter, band saw, and drill.
  • Knowledge of 3phase electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of pneumatics, solid state relays, and transformers.
  • Able to read and understand engineering electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Working knowledge of PLC based control systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot manufacturing machineries.
  • Well versed in safety programs (e.g. Lock out / Tag out, line breaking).
  • Advanced skills including: electrical, welding, machinery troubleshooting, and mechanical equipment.
  • Basic Microsoft Office and Windows skills.
  • Employees must maintain a clean-shaven appearance each working shift to wear tight-fitting respirators properly.
  • Physically able to wear cleanroom/protective gowning and equipment, including but not limited to gowning, goggles, face shields, respirators, and protective gloves.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for prolonged periods of time while fulfilling job duties.

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational, trade school certification or Associates Degree highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of 120V- 208V AC/ 3-24VDC, troubleshooting down to electronic components is a plus but not necessary.
  • Knowledgeable in cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute setup, breakdown, repairs, and preventive maintenance of equipment/systems used for conveying sterile containers and liquid filling of vials/ampules.
  • Work with management and coordinate with production the break down and set up schedules of machinery in the Aseptic Environment.
  • Coordinate and schedule daily and weekly tasks and projects with other team members.
  • Troubleshoot equipment/system issues.
  • Perform equipment preventive maintenance.
  • Identify and correct unsafe conditions.
  • Correct/report unsafe behaviors or equipment.
  • Ensure proper inventory of change parts are available in associated fill rooms.
  • Act as liaison to supervision to ensure department goals are met.
  • Lead various projects and provide direction to staff.
