About The Position

The Aseptic Filler Operator is vital to the success of our production function. A successful individual will have efficient monitoring, maintenance and operation of the assigned filler (Procomac filler) and pasteurizer for quality output and maintenance support skills. Our Production team follows a 2-2-3 12-hour shift schedule, providing a consistent routine for work-life balance. Shift hours for this role are 5:45am - 6:00pm.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of experience in a heavy, high speed, industry manufacturing environment - required.
  • Ability to apply basic computer and communication skills, math functions, and reasoning.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools (knife, pumps, and scales).
  • Previous experience as a machine operator.
  • Lock Out/Tag Out Trained.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety glasses and leather, skid resistant work shoes/boots).
  • Ability to apply basic computer and communication skills, math functions and reasoning.
  • Ability to use various hand tools (knife, water house, band cutters, can opener, scales Telnet scanners, various hand tolls, as required for position/product testing).
  • A continuous learning, and improvement, mindset is a must; there are many opportunities to learn and develop at BRF, but the individual needs to be motivated to engage in those opportunities.
  • Effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations.

Responsibilities

  • Operator filler to include set-up, operation, change overs and troubleshooting to detect product (raw or finished) defects or filler malfunctions, adjusting as necessary.
  • Observe filler operation to detect product defects.
  • Observe pasteurizer operation to detect product defects.
  • Maintain GMP (good housekeeping) standards at and around filler and pasteurizer.
  • Perform SOP’s for assigned filler, pasteurizer and area.
  • Work in a safe manner, consistent with company safety rules and regulations.
  • Maintain good attendance record per company policy.
  • Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
