About The Position

Nissan of Elk Grove is seeking an experienced ASE Certified Technician in Elk Grove, California. The technician helps keep customers’ vehicles safe and in good operating condition while delivering quality workmanship and customer service. The role involves diagnosing concerns, performing complex repairs, and maintaining and repairing a range of automotive systems according to dealership and manufacturer standards. Compensation starts at $33.80 per flag-rate hour; actual earnings vary based on performance, experience, and other applicable factors. The position offers medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan with company contribution, paid vacation, and paid holidays. The role follows a rotating four-day schedule, and the technician must be available to work that schedule.

Requirements

At least 3 years of automotive service technician experience.
ASE certifications.
A-level diagnostic, electrical, and engine repair experience.
Strong understanding of modern vehicle technologies.
Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
Must have own tools.
Open availability to work a rotating four-day schedule.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record, as required to operate company and customer vehicles.
Team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic.
High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and according to dealership standards.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brake, and HVAC systems.
Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic equipment to identify issues.
Communicate needed repairs and timelines to service advisors.
Perform warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.
Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism.
