About The Position

This role requires adherence to the Surgery Center's core values, health and safety practices, and human resource responsibilities. The position involves demonstrating competence in performing duties and responsibilities related to tasks, skills, and procedures for clients served within the surgery center. Key aspects include maintaining professional relationships, effective communication, strong organizational skills, and serving as a role model for staff. Critical thinking and sound nursing judgment are essential for patient care planning and implementation. The role also involves accurate medical record documentation, professional development, and continuing education. A working knowledge of operating room or ambulatory surgery center nursing care is necessary, along with the ability to manage time, utilize resources effectively, and monitor supplies and equipment.

Requirements

• Current State R.N. license
• BCLS required
• IV skills required
• All employees must be able to provide proof of their identity and their right to work in the United States.
• Working knowledge and experience in hospital operating room or ambulatory surgery center nursing care.
• Ability to adhere to work schedule and manage time appropriately.
• Ability to utilize resources in a timely, organized and cost effective manner.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS/PALS preferred
• Two (2) years’ experience as a circulating operating room nurse preferred

• Demonstrates competence in performance of duties and responsibilities related to tasks, skills and procedures rendered to the clients served.
• Maintains active professional relationships with physicians and patients by assessing needs and levels of satisfaction with surgery center services.
• Assists in the orientation and training of new employees.
• Assumes responsibility for competency and takes initiative for professional development and continuing education.
• Monitors stock levels, outdated supplies and equipment needs and reports appropriately.
