Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Minimum two (2) years nursing management experience, preferably in an operating room setting.
  • Experience obtaining and maintaining Medicare certification through AAAHC or The Joint Commission.
  • Managed or implemented electronic health records in an ASC setting.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to work effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and physicians.
  • Current unrestricted Wisconsin Nursing License.
  • ACLS current or within 3 months of hire
  • BLS current or within certification within 3 months of hire

Responsibilities

  • Must meet all the essential functions and requirements of the PPW Registered Nurse position description.
  • Develop proper clinical procedures that ensure patient safety, comfort, and quality.
  • Develop appropriate admission and discharge procedures and assures that pre-admission criteria are appropriately met.
  • Research and prepare cost reduction proposals and implements them as applicable.
  • Evaluate ongoing patient care and reports significant patient problems to Administrator and Medical Director.
  • Collaborate with Administrator to ensure personnel policy development and communication to staff to achieve consistency in labor and employee relations.
  • Serve as resource and role model for staff.
  • Plans evaluate, recommend, and implement new initiatives when appropriate.
  • Select and hire employees according to established guidelines. Monitor, coach, develop and evaluate performance of staff on an ongoing basis in accordance with applicable performance standards.
  • Assure compliance with all ASC policies and procedures and governmental regulations pertaining to: All medications and solutions, with special attention to Controlled substances, Infection Prevention, Patient confidentiality, BLS, ACLS, safety and risk management in collaboration with Administrator and Medical Director, Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement, Emergency Management plan, including drills, codes, and evacuation, Professional licensure, WI DHS, CMS, The Joint Commission, and all other voluntary and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors, employees, managers, and physicians.
  • Lead the development of patient and staff education materials.
  • Support and promote a positive image of PPW when dealing with patients and others inside and outside the organization.
  • Monitor patient service feedback and contributes to the process of resolving complaints and service issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
