Arts Editorial Intern
About The Position
The editorial intern will report and write weekly event picks, news briefs, and shorter breaking stories online. You will be strongly encouraged to file at least one in-depth, feature length story during your internship. Other Job Functions: Contributing to group projects and assisting editors as needed. Some list management or formatting tasks may arise from time to time, as well as occasional audio or photography assignments. This is not a fetch-coffee internship. You will be mentored by award-winning editors providing hands-on guidance and direction to develop your skills as much as possible and prepare you for work at national outlets.
Requirements
- Experience writing and reporting

Nice To Haves
- Fluency in Wordpress or equivalent CMS platform
- Photography and audio skills
- Ability to drive for stories
- Nimbleness and creativity on social media
- Familiarity with public records
- Deep knowledge of the Bay Area arts scene
