About The Position

Tarkett Sports is seeking to expand its team by hiring Turf Service Technicians. This role involves traveling to customer locations to perform maintenance, service, and repairs on turf fields. The technician will diagnose field problems, communicate findings to coordinators, and work to resolve customer issues promptly. A key aspect of the job is educating customers on proper field maintenance and equipment usage, while also identifying opportunities for sales of maintenance products and equipment. The role requires meticulous record-keeping and reporting, as well as maintaining company equipment and supplies.

Requirements

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills are vital when working with customers and a team.
  • Ability to effectively manage time.
  • Effectively demonstrate the ability to use Outlook, Concur, and Field Service Lightning apps.

  • Experience in the sports surfacing industry.
  • Sales experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude for equipment repair.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer locations to address maintenance service and repair needs to turf fields.
  • Diagnose field problems and relay information to Customer Service and Field Service coordinators.
  • Expedite customer problems and complaints to the CSR and team within 24 hours.
  • Address repairs within 7 days of notification.
  • Troubleshoot and repair various issues that may arise.
  • Maintain constant contact and communication with the Customer Service Coordinator, Field Care Coordinator, Field Service Manager, and Regional Sales Associate.
  • Attend Weekly WIP Calls.
  • Educate customers on proper field practices for maintenance and how to properly use their field equipment.
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with regional customers.
  • Fill out detailed reports and keep records on services provided.
  • Transmit reports to the CSR within 5 days.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers.
  • Effectively manage time.
  • Provide detailed log of work done when not linked to a repair or maintenance job.
  • Present, promote and sell field maintenance and maintenance equipment to existing customers and prospective customers.
  • Keep company equipment operating and perform appropriate maintenance and repairs to equipment.
  • Maintain a log of all equipment and equipment repair activity.
  • Maintain supplies.
