About The Position

This role involves working with customers to understand their business needs and define solution use cases, providing consultation on the 'art of the possible' for customer solutions. The engineer will collaborate with end users and SMEs to refine use cases, technical approaches, and implementations. They will also partner with development teams to create solutions involving analytics, visualization, applications, and data integrations. Responsibilities include reviewing and recommending improvements for data pipelines and ontologies, developing solutions using Foundry tools, mentoring team members on these tools, and providing programming support for integrations of external customer applications with Foundry. The role also requires adherence to and improvement of established standards and processes, staying current with programming tools and practices, managing requirements analysis and documentation, and providing necessary systems solutions documentation and visualization. Additionally, the engineer will mentor junior engineers and analysts and engage with employer-provided Palantir training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering or science discipline required
  • 5+ years of professional experience in the required task area
  • Translation of business process and program workflows into solution architecture
  • Proficiency in Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, TypeScript, React, and SQL
  • Architecture frameworks and modeling language such as DoDAF, SysML, and UML
  • Agile software methodology process tools such as Git and Azure DevOps
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Candidate must be in possession of a minimum DoD issued Secret Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP) tools
  • Familiarization with legacy US Navy data systems

Responsibilities

  • Work with customers to understand business needs and to define solution use cases
  • Provide consultation on art of the possible during visioning of customer solutions
  • Work with customer end users and SMEs to refine use cases, technical approaches and implementations
  • Collaborate with and support multiple development teams to create solutions involving analytics, visualization, applications, and data integrations
  • Perform reviews and make recommendations for improving production data pipelines and ontology with respect to SME data quality expectations and emerging customer needs
  • Develop solutions with and mentor team members on Foundry tools
  • Provide programming support and technical approach for integrations of external customer applications with Foundry
  • Follow and improve established standards and processes
  • Keep up to date with current programming tools and practices
  • Manage requirements analysis, development, traceability, modeling and associated documentation
  • Provide necessary systems solutions documentation and visualization
  • Mentor local junior engineers and analysts
  • Engage with employer-provided Palantir training
  • Other duties as assigned
