About The Position

Captivation Software is seeking a senior-level AI/ML engineer to design, create, test, and productize AI/ML algorithms that solve business challenges. The role involves researching and implementing AI/ML algorithms and tools, developing and evaluating models, and turning data science prototypes into scalable solutions. The engineer will oversee system integration and iterative testing of AI/ML algorithms to meet verification and validation requirements, including explainability and resiliency.

Requirements

• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• At least 10 years of experience deploying machine learning algorithms.
• A Master's or Ph.D. in advanced mathematics, artificial intelligence, data science, computer science, or deep learning from an accredited college or university.
• Seven additional years of machine learning experience with a relevant Bachelor's degree may be substituted for a Master's degree.
• Demonstrated abilities in software engineering and AI/ML model testing and evaluation.
• Demonstrated understanding of software architecture, data modeling, and data structures.
• Deep understanding of AI logic, semantics, ontologies, and knowledge representation.
• Demonstrated ability to design, evaluate, and productize AI/ML models on a range of commercial cloud-based architectures.

Responsibilities

• Select appropriate data sets.
• Perform statistical analysis.
• Run machine learning algorithms.
• Use results to improve models.
• Train and retrain systems when needed.
• Work with various machine learning libraries and packages.
• Run standard test and evaluation protocols.
• Provide system integration oversight.
• Oversee testing and evaluation of AI/ML algorithms through an iterative design process to meet verification and validation requirements.
• Research and implement a broad range of AI/ML algorithms and tools.
• Design or select appropriate data and knowledge representation methods.
• Transform and convert data science prototypes into scalable solutions.
• Verify data and model output quality.
• Identify differences in data distribution that affect model performance.
• Develop test and evaluation criteria, including explainability and resiliency.
• Design ML algorithms according to customer requirements.
• Research, experiment with, and implement suitable ML algorithms and tools.
• Broaden current AI/ML frameworks and machine learning libraries.
