About The Position

Captivation Software is seeking a senior-level AI/ML engineer to design, create, test, and productize AI/ML algorithms that solve business challenges in support of the mission to protect the country. The engineer will work through iterative design, testing, and evaluation to meet verification and validation requirements, and will help turn data science prototypes into scalable solutions. This position is open to direct hires only; candidates from third-party staffing or recruiting firms will not be considered.

Requirements

• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• At least 10 years of experience deploying machine learning algorithms.
• A master's or Ph.D. degree in advanced mathematics, artificial intelligence, data science, computer science, or deep learning from an accredited college or university. Seven additional years of machine learning experience may be substituted for a master's degree if the candidate has a relevant bachelor's degree.
• Demonstrated abilities in software engineering and AI/ML model testing and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Select appropriate data sets and data or knowledge representation methods.
• Perform statistical analysis and run machine learning algorithms.
• Use results to improve models and train or retrain systems when needed.
• Work with various machine learning libraries and packages.
• Run standard testing and evaluation protocols.
• Provide system integration oversight.
• Oversee testing and evaluation of AI/ML algorithms through an iterative design process to meet verification and validation requirements.
• Research and implement a broad range of AI/ML algorithms and tools.
• Recognize and work with software architecture, data modeling, and data structures.
• Transform and convert data science prototypes into scalable solutions.
• Verify data and model output quality.
• Identify differences in data distribution that affect model performance.
• Develop testing and evaluation criteria that include explainability and resiliency.
• Design, evaluate, and productize AI/ML models on commercial cloud-based architectures.
• Design ML algorithms according to customer requirements.
• Research, experiment with, and implement suitable ML algorithms and tools.
• Broaden existing AI/ML frameworks and machine learning libraries.
