Wyetech is hiring an Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Engineer, Skill Level 2, to support research, design, development, testing, evaluation, integration, deployment, and sustainment of AI/ML algorithms and scalable machine-learning solutions for mission-critical Government requirements. The engineer develops and optimizes models that identify patterns, learn from data, and generate predictions aligned with customer requirements. Work spans the machine-learning lifecycle, including dataset selection, statistical analysis, model architecture, training and retraining, performance evaluation, integration, deployment, and ongoing optimization. The role includes researching and implementing algorithms; evaluating data and model quality; converting data science prototypes into scalable operational software; and overseeing iterative testing and validation. The engineer also supports data-pipeline integration, software architecture and data modeling, and identification of data-distribution changes that could affect model performance. Collaboration with software engineers, data scientists, systems engineers, infrastructure teams, and mission stakeholders is integral to the position. Candidates must meet the Skill Level 2 labor-category requirements and the position-specific experience requirements. One qualification path requires a relevant master's or doctoral degree and five years of applied machine-learning experience. An alternative path requires a relevant bachelor's degree and ten years of qualifying experience; five additional years of qualifying machine-learning experience may substitute for the master's degree requirement. Experience with PyTorch and TensorFlow is required. The position requires U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with an in-scope Full Scope Polygraph completed within the past seven years; applicable clearance and program access must be maintained throughout employment. The posting lists an hourly pay range of $20.00–$50.00. Rates are guidelines rather than guaranteed compensation and may vary based on contract rates, education, experience, skills, certifications, and location. Wyetech describes an employee-focused culture and offers a SEP IRA contribution, PTO, voluntary benefit plans, referral-bonus eligibility, mobility among supported contracts, team events, and two complimentary branded clothing orders annually. Work locations may include Maryland, Virginia, Colorado, Texas, Utah, Alaska, Hawaii, and OCONUS; no specific work arrangement is stated.
