The Law Society of Ontario offers a unique and rewarding articling opportunity within its Policy, Equity and External Relations (PEER) division. This role is ideal for a student who is intellectually curious, policy-minded, and eager to contribute to work that shapes the legal profession in Ontario. As an articling student, you will work closely with the Director and Strategic Policy Counsel on high impact initiatives that advance regulatory policy, equity, and engagement with the profession. You will gain hands-on experience supporting the development of programs and policy options that influence how law is practised and regulated. Your work will include conducting legal and policy research, preparing research memoranda and reports, drafting model policies for the legal profession, and participating in meetings with lawyers, benchers, and other key stakeholders of the Law Society. This role offers meaningful exposure to public-interest law, legal regulation, and professional governance in a collaborative and collegial environment.
