This position is for an Art teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The role involves planning and implementing an art program that caters to the individual needs, interests, diverse backgrounds, and abilities of students. The teacher will be responsible for creating a classroom environment conducive to learning, guiding the learning process towards curriculum goals, and establishing clear objectives for all lessons and projects. Key responsibilities include employing appropriate instructional methods and materials, regularly assessing student accomplishments, diagnosing learning strengths and weaknesses, and counseling with colleagues, students, and parents. The role also requires assisting administration in implementing policies, developing classroom behavior rules, supervising support personnel, using appropriate technology, and maintaining accurate records. Adherence to the Code of Ethics of the Education Profession in Florida and participation in school improvement initiatives are also expected. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and a valid Florida teaching certificate in the appropriate area. A Master’s degree and experience managing business/department functions and staff are preferred. Candidates should possess clear and concise oral and written communication skills, analytical, mathematical, organizational, and prioritization skills, flexibility, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills. Knowledge of pertinent regulations, policies, procedures, project management tools, and laws like HIPAA, FERPA, Public Records, and Sunshine Law is also required.
