The partnership includes a 77-bed acute care hospital and outpatient programs. Located on the KVC Missouri Children’s Mental Wellness Campus conveniently located in Webster Groves, Missouri, the peaceful environment and broad continuum of care allow children and families to access the appropriate level of treatment throughout their healing experience. The Art Therapist will implement trauma-informed and therapeutic activities within the creative process of art making to enhance the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of the children and youth receiving residential services. Therapist will collaborate as an active member of the treatment team.

Requirements

  • A Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Art Therapy, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or Psychology, with supervised post-graduate art therapy experience.
  • Art Therapist - Registered (ATR) or Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC) required
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
  • Supervised post-graduate art therapy experience.
  • Requires intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as Outlook email.

Nice To Haves

  • Six months to one year experience.
  • Preference given to experience providing art therapy to youth receiving mental health services.

Responsibilities

  • Implement trauma-informed and therapeutic activities within the creative process of art making to enhance the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of the children and youth receiving residential services.
  • Collaborate as an active member of the treatment team.
  • Additional duties may be assigned based on organizational needs and staff qualifications.
