About The Position

The Art Teacher will be responsible for educating students in art, fostering their creativity and understanding of artistic principles. This role requires a deep understanding of child development, effective teaching strategies, and the ability to manage a classroom environment conducive to learning. The teacher will also be expected to analyze data to inform instruction and utilize technology in the classroom. This position is pending budget availability and is open for ten days or until filled.

Requirements

Hold a New Jersey Art Teacher certificate.
Excellent experience in teaching and working with children.
Excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning.
Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.
Knowledge of the NJSLS and NJSLA.
Effective instructional practices and strategies.
Ability to analyze and use data to drive instruction.
Must be a critical thinker, problem solver, and respect others.
Must be computer literate and able to use interactive computer instructional software.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and the community.
