About The Position

Snap Inc. is a technology company focused on improving communication and daily life through its camera-centric products. The company operates Snapchat, Bitmoji, Saturn, and other digital services. The Creative & Marketing team is responsible for bringing Snap's brand to life. Snap is seeking an Art Director to join the SPECS Marketing team. This is an individual contributor role requiring a versatile creative professional who can art direct, lead creative development, produce work, and design. The role involves developing ideas, establishing visual tone, creating decks and assets, directing photo and film productions, and executing creative across various platforms including brand, product, digital, social, web, and experiential. The Art Director will collaborate with senior creatives, designers, copywriters, strategists, marketers, producers, and external partners. Key responsibilities include owning assigned workstreams, clear communication, making sound creative and production decisions, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring high-quality, impactful work. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant creative experience.
  • Experience working as an Art Director or in a similar creative role at an agency, studio, or in-house environment.
  • Track record of concepting and executing visually driven brand, product, or marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Experience taking creative from initial concept through production and final execution.
  • Experience concepting and art directing photography and film productions, including participating in or directing work on set.
  • Experience developing creative decks, treatments, storyboards, mood boards, and presentations.
  • Hands-on design experience using Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or comparable tools.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating high-impact, culturally relevant brand campaigns and visually driven creative work.
  • Ability to take creative from brief through concept, visual development, production, and final execution.
  • Strong art direction skills across photography, film, digital, web, social, and experiential work.
  • Hands-on design craft, including the ability to create production-ready visuals, decks, presentations, and campaign assets.
  • Exceptional eye for composition, typography, color, photography, motion, visual storytelling, and craft.
  • Strong understanding of photo and film production, including pre-production, on-set execution, and post-production.
  • Strong presentation, storytelling, collaboration, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to give concise, direct, and actionable conceptual and design feedback.
  • Ability to work independently on moderately complex projects, manage multiple stakeholders, and make sound decisions with appropriate guidance.
  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, with comfort working directly in files.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving, and sometimes ambiguous environment.

  • Experience working in or alongside luxury, fashion, design, premium lifestyle, consumer technology, hardware, or wearable technology brands.
  • Background in luxury and/or technology, with an understanding of how to make emerging products feel desirable, human, and culturally relevant.
  • Experience developing integrated brand or product campaigns across photography, film, digital, social, web, and experiential channels.
  • Experience producing creative projects and managing production details from planning through delivery.
  • Experience working with photographers, directors, production companies, agencies, and other external creative partners.

Responsibilities

  • Develop creative concepts, visual territories, campaign platforms, and design systems from a brief or insight.
  • Set the visual tone and craft standard for assigned projects, carrying the work from concept through final delivery.
  • Partner with copywriters, strategists, designers, marketers, producers, and senior creative leadership to develop integrated ideas.
  • Build high-fidelity creative decks, treatments, mood boards, storyboards, presentations, and visual explorations.
  • Present concepts and recommendations clearly to creative leadership, marketers, strategists, and other stakeholders.
  • Concept and art direct photo shoots, film productions, and other content productions, including treatments, shot lists, casting, wardrobe, production design, lighting, and visual language.
  • Participate on set and collaborate with photographers, directors, cinematographers, stylists, editors, production companies, and other creative partners.
  • Own day-to-day creative production for assigned projects, helping manage timelines, deliverables, reviews, risks, and final delivery in partnership with producers and project leads.
  • Concept, design, and build key campaign assets and marketing materials, working directly in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Translate campaign ideas into cohesive visual systems across digital, web, social, experiential, and other relevant touchpoints.
  • Provide clear, specific, and actionable feedback that strengthens the idea, improves craft, and moves the work forward.
  • Manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high bar for creative quality, visual consistency, and attention to detail.
