About The Position

Anthropic is seeking an Art Director to shape the brand campaigns for Claude. This is a hands-on creative role where you will partner with brand and marketing teams to conceptualize and drive campaigns from start to finish. You should be adept at developing ideas from a brief, presenting them, and overseeing their production. The role requires comfort with both in-house execution and directing external agencies, ensuring creative consistency across all touchpoints. You will be responsible for the quality of the work and its strategic impact on the Claude brand. This position involves deep involvement in campaign craft and strategic thinking about how the work contributes to the overall brand and business objectives.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience with a portfolio rooted in campaign work, showing concept development, art direction, and execution across multiple channels and formats.
  • Experience working on both sides of the agency relationship (in-house execution and external team direction).
  • Experience directing shoots and collaborating with photographers, illustrators, or production teams.
  • Ability to transition between strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
  • Experience building consumer-facing or product brand campaigns with a focus on distinctive and human-centric work.
  • Passion for brand-building work, including shaping perception, building affinity, and elevating a company's market presence.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple campaigns and workstreams effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Concept and art direct integrated campaigns for Claude from initial brief through final production across digital, video, and print.
  • Direct photo and video shoots, working with directors, photographers, illustrators, animators, and production partners to bring campaigns to life.
  • Flex between executing work in-house and directing it through agency partners, acting as the creative lead and ensuring work aligns with brand context.
  • Develop campaign visual systems with repeatable creative frameworks that maintain brand recognition.
  • Shape Claude’s brand storytelling by translating product capabilities and user experiences into engaging narratives.
  • Serve as a creative partner to brand and product marketing teams, bringing audience insight and brand strategy to life through creative concepts and visual direction.
  • Ensure brand consistency and maintain a high quality bar across all Claude touchpoints.
