About The Position

One temporary hourly-intermittent work study student assistant position is available in the Art department. This position is available on or after September 1, 2026, and will end on or before May 31, 2027. Reappointment is possible based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

Requirements

• Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
• Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.

Nice To Haves

• Enrollment as an art major.
• Prior experience of printmaking processes.
• Intermediate skill level with PC computers.
• Basic knowledge of computer art software including Adobe Creative Suite.
• Prior experience working in an art studio/laboratory environment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft programs including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in the Painting and Printmaking Studios.
• Ensure safety practices are employed, and that rooms and equipment are kept secure, neat, and clean.
• Assist with technical questions/issues that students may have.
• Assist with computer/software related troubleshooting.
• Perform other duties or projects as assigned in the ART Department.
