About The Position

This role involves providing excellent customer service in a food service environment. The server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, managing guest payments, and ensuring a positive dining experience. Key aspects include maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, handling guest concerns, and adhering to company policies and standards.

Requirements

  • Ability to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must present a well-groomed, professional appearance.
  • Must be able to work a varied schedule including holidays, nights and weekends as needed.
  • Must be able to work a reasonable amount of overtime when required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests and make them feel welcome.
  • Write down food and beverage orders.
  • Enter orders into the computer system.
  • Expedite drink orders from the bar and serve them to customers.
  • Pick up food orders from the kitchen and serve to customers.
  • Perform routine server station work such as preparing toast, dressing salads, and ladling soup.
  • Deliver table set-ups with food orders and clear them in a timely manner.
  • Assist other servers and server assistants as necessary.
  • Clear and clean tables and work area.
  • Perform all assigned side work.
  • Ensure breakdown of station at end of shift and complete daily cleaning tasks.
  • Have complete knowledge of the menu, prices, and drink recipes.
  • Wear proper attire in a neatly groomed fashion.
  • Handle and solve customer concerns and questions.
  • Take responsibility for handling guest complaints and resolving them.
  • Prepare and deliver checks to guests.
  • Process guest payments at the table and close checks in the computer system.
  • Give guests a warm farewell.
  • Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to company policy.
  • Follow the Everyone Greets Everyone (EGE) policy, proactively greeting guests and team members.
  • Participate in all mandatory meetings and pre-shift BUZZ sessions.
