About The Position

The Armory Lead provides Armory Support Services (weapons custodian) for MCSFBN, including the management, issue, distribution, receipt, and storage of weapons, optics/sighting systems, and corresponding SL-3/collateral equipment. Aligned to the UXO Technician II labor category, the Armory Lead is certified to handle weapons and Hazard Class/Division 1.1 - 1.4 Explosives and supervises the Armory team in compliance with DOD, Navy, and Marine Corps regulations.

Requirements

A minimum of three (3) years' experience related to weapon and collateral equipment inventories, issue, return, and management.
Current, or the ability to obtain, a Secret security clearance.
Advanced Office Automation/PC keyboarding skills, advanced Microsoft Office Suite experience, and advanced office management skills.

Supervises Armory support employees (a minimum of one supervisor and two employees are required for armory operations).

Responsibilities

Manage, issue, distribute, receive, and store weapons and corresponding SL-3/collateral equipment as required.
Conduct weapon and SL-3/collateral equipment inventories and prepare the Armory SL-3 and Weapons Status/Custody Report (CDRL A008) monthly and as required.
Establish and maintain the Qualification/Certification (Qual/Cert) Program in accordance with OPNAVINST 8023.24, OPNAVINST 5530.13, and MCO 5530.14.
Issue weapons to authorized individuals after verifying qualification and familiarization from the Government-provided roster.
Coordinate monthly inventories with the appointed Government Inventory Official and support the annual 100% inventory (CDRL A030).
Maintain armory inventory data in the Government-provided SharePoint or database system.
Perform stock list inventory for weapons/optics accessories and Technical Manuals; verify NSN, NIIN, and nomenclatures.
