About The Position

The Armed Security Response Team (SRT) Agent safeguards designated Allied Universal Enhanced Protection Services clients, personnel, facilities, and corporate assets in San Francisco, California. The role requires an experienced security professional able to operate in a dynamic, high-profile corporate environment, using sound judgment, physical fitness, emotional intelligence, and strong communication skills. The agent provides visible or low-profile security as appropriate, maintains situational awareness, identifies emerging risks and deviations from established environmental baselines, and communicates timely information to designated security stakeholders. Agents are expected to demonstrate professionalism, discretion, appropriate personal appearance, and excellent customer service when interacting with executives, employees, visitors, and client representatives. The standard schedule is a minimum of five eight-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday. Agents must be flexible to work nights, weekends, holidays, and adjusted schedules or additional hours based on client and operational requirements. The position reports to the SRT management team and works within a cross-functional security program, supporting its contractual requirements, operational training, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid U.S. driver's license and clean driving record.
Ability to obtain and maintain applicable California security guard and firearm permits, licenses, and credentials.
At least five years of relevant experience in law enforcement, military service, or armed security operations.
Knowledge of security operations, protective services, and professional enforcement practices.
Proficiency with approved handguns and compliance with applicable firearms qualification requirements.
Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications.
Ability to maintain a high level of physical fitness and professional appearance.
Ability to work at least eight-hour shifts, including weekdays, nights, weekends, and holidays as operationally required.
Ability to perform mobile and static security responsibilities.
Experience preparing incident reports, operational summaries, and after-action reports.
Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Ability to work independently and contribute effectively to a team-oriented security program.
Ability to exercise sound judgment, emotional intelligence, and professionalism in challenging interpersonal situations.

Responsibilities

Provide professional armed security and protective services for designated personnel, properties, facilities, and corporate assets.
Collaborate with the cross-functional security team and communicate effectively with program stakeholders.
Report directly to the SRT management team and remain accountable for assigned responsibilities.
Safeguard worksites and personnel while protecting sensitive, confidential, and proprietary information.
Identify, assess, deter, and report potential risks, threats, and vulnerabilities.
Maintain situational awareness and communicate relevant observations and emerging concerns to appropriate personnel.
Support implementation and continuous improvement of the Statement of Work and contractual security requirements.
Participate in operational training, professional development, and program sustainment activities.
Conduct threat, risk, and vulnerability assessments within the scope of assigned responsibilities.
Safely operate company or assigned motor vehicles in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Establish and maintain professional working relationships with local law enforcement and relevant emergency response agencies.
Assist with security coordination and business continuity initiatives.
Maintain accurate daily activity logs, operational records, incident reports, and after-action documentation.
Demonstrate discretion, sound judgment, and exceptional customer service in all interactions.
Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to unarmed security personnel on security standards, customer service, and operational procedures.
Communicate with corporate leadership, security management, client representatives, employees, and external stakeholders.
Balance security responsibilities with a client-focused approach that supports business continuity and organizational objectives.
