As a Armed Security Patrol Driver Officer in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed, driving officer at a financial institution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A 40 caliber endorsement is required.
  • A California weapons permit with 9mm caliber endorsement is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a financial institution location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access activity and verify credentials, visitor permissions, and/or delivery activity in accordance with site procedures for a financial services environment.
  • Support cash handling, opening and closing activities, and other sensitive operational periods through visible presence and timely response to security-related issues.
