DSI is currently hiring Plain Clothes Armed Security Officers for a Monday through Friday assignment. The position is ideal for candidates with prior military, law enforcement, or tactical experience who are dependable, professional, and capable of responding effectively to security threats. As an Armed Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, their employees, and the public. Officers may be required to perform armed response, access control, patrol functions, and tactical security duties in accordance with DSI and client-specific post instructions.

Requirements

Valid Armed Security License (ACT235)
Reliable transportation
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to maintain a professional appearance while working in plain clothes
Must be at least 21 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license and concealed carry permit
Reliable transportation and communication
Strong judgment, attention to detail, and situational awareness
Basic to intermediate computer skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to stand for extended periods, conduct foot patrols, and perform moderate lifting
Ability to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays
Must successfully pass all pre-employment screenings.

Nice To Haves

Prior military or Class I law enforcement experience preferred
Tactical, SWAT, or specialized response experience preferred

Responsibilities

Maintain current Act 235 certification to carry firearms
Maintain current CPR certification.
Conduct interior and perimeter patrols of the building.
Supervise entry and egress access control
Process visitors
Provide incident reports upon request.
Directs deliveries to the loading dock.
Assist employees or visitors who may have issues with an ID card.
In a heightened security posture, inspect all visitors’ bags for metal detection (guns) and other instruments which may present a hazard
Maintain constant communication with the Corporate Security Manager and/or Building Management of the above conditions
Report and respond to on-site emergencies or building/security intrusions.
Perform escort service as requested.
Assist in investigative security incidents as requested.
Work Overtime (as defined by applicable law) upon client's Request.
Provide necessary Management and coordination of schedules and payroll of all Security Guard employees.
Monitor and observe for suspicious persons, packages and/or any other unusual or suspicious activity.
Monitor front entrance, site access, and cameras.
Greet employees, welcome guests, and answering the phone.
Patrol all floors as requested by Client.
Monitor specific areas around the building and record temperatures in specific locations as requested.
Maintain communication with Client's corporate security office.
Complete required client's Learning courses on time.
Assist with termination standbys as requested
Participate in required training and comply with DSI safety policies
