About The Position

Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Part Time Armed Security Officer for a State Site in Boston MA. This role involves serving and safeguarding clients in government and other industries. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This role requires a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit and offers the opportunity to represent our agile, reliable, and innovative team with integrity, care, and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • 1+ Years of Previous Security Experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government transportation location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials in accordance with site procedures; report suspicious activity, unauthorized persons, and hazardous conditions to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and coordinating with emergency responders when needed.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required logs regarding patrols, incidents, access activity, and security-related observations.
