As an Armed Security Officer at a Television Network in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Screener at a dynamic commercial real estate location, where you will help monitor entry points, screen people and property, and support a professional, welcoming environment. In this role, you will remain visible, perform routine patrols, and provide strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control expectations, and/or emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with property protocols, including identification checks, badge verification, package observation, and directing individuals to the appropriate entry process.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to property management, tenants, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Monitor entry points, lobbies, and other assigned areas to help support authorized access, document screening-related activity, and report policy violations or suspicious behavior.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with attention to screening stations, common areas, and other locations where security-related concerns may arise.
