This position is responsible for securing the premises and personnel by patrolling the property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, and permitting entry. The role involves preventing loss and damage by reporting irregularities and informing violators of policies and procedures. Responsibilities include completing reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities, interviewing witnesses, and obtaining statements and signatures. The officer must maintain the organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements and contribute to team efforts. This role is responsible for calling the Police or Fire Departments in cases of emergency, such as a fire or the presence of an unauthorized person. The officer will circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property, and answer phone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours. The position requires the ability to work independently and as a team, with a willingness to cooperate with others and a high degree of discretion when dealing with confidential information. The role also involves operating X-ray and metal detecting equipment, inspecting all employees and visitors to ensure proper identification is visible and jewelry policy is followed, monitoring video surveillance cameras, monitoring AMAG for door alarms, enforcing parking regulations, and performing product transfers between different building locations.
