As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Lynchburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will support access activity, respond to alarms and site needs, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, screen visitors and/or deliveries, and support traffic flow for employees, contractors, and shipments entering or leaving the location.
Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift pass-downs, while following Allied Universal standards and site-specific post orders related to security-related operations.
