About The Position

Excelsior Defense is seeking an Armed Security Officer to join our exceptional team. This part-time role involves protecting client premises, assets, and personnel in the Sanford Area. The selected individual will patrol the area, maintain a high-visibility presence, prevent illegal or inappropriate actions, and manage access control. Responsibilities include conducting rounds and scanning various points throughout the property as per the housing contract. The officer must be prompt in patrolling the community to ensure safety.

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a security officer or relevant position
• Valid D and G security License (Needs to be active with both Security License)
• Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
• Must have your own weapon
• Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/Protocols
• Surveillance skills and detail orientation
• Integrity and professionalism
• Detailed report writing

Responsibilities

• Protect company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
• Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
• Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
• Apprehend criminals and evict violators
• Report and detain any suspicious incidents
• Report Writing
• Patrolling the community to ensure safety
• Doing rounds, scanning in different points throughout the property in the housing contract
• Maintain access control into the property
