Armed Security Officer, Full time Night
About The Position
Saint Luke’s South Hospital in Overland Park, KS is seeking an Armed Security Officer to join their team. The role involves all aspects of security, including patrolling, approved security responses, and reporting incidents/issues according to department procedures. Individuals must be 21 years or older to work in this position. The shift details are Full Time Night, with a Wheel Rotation from 6:00 PM to 4:00 AM. The hospital offers highly competitive salaries based on education, certification, and experience, with a starting hourly rate of $25.00/hr. The ideal candidate is someone excited about working with people, has a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, is willing to work, adaptable, and eager to learn. This position requires the ability to work autonomously as well as with a team.
Requirements
- Individuals must be 21 years or older
- Less than 1 year of applicable experience
- Basic Life Support RQI - Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI)
- Driver's License - Various
- Private Officer Commission - Various

Responsibilities
- Patrolling hospital campus and reporting safety security issues according to department procedures
- Assisting employees, patients, and visitors with parking needs
- Controlling entrances and exits to parking lots
- Providing personal escorts and other routine security services to employees, patients, and visitors
