About The Position

Saint Luke’s North Hospital in Kansas City is seeking an Armed Security Officer to join their team. This role requires knowledge of all aspects of security, including patrolling, approved security responses, and reporting incidents/issues according to department procedures. Individuals must be 21 years or older to work in this position. The position is full-time, night shift, with shift times potentially being 7:00pm-5:00am, 6:00pm-4:00am, or 11:00pm-9:00am. Saint Luke’s offers highly competitive salaries based on education, certification, and experience, with a starting hourly rate of $25.00/hr. The ideal candidate is excited about working with people, has a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, is willing to work, adaptable, and eager to learn. This position requires the ability to work autonomously as well as with a team.

Requirements

Individuals must be 21 years or older.
Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
Armed Private Officer Commission.
KCPD - KCPD Board of Police Commissioners.
Driver's License - Class E.

Responsibilities

Assists employees, patients, and visitors with parking needs, controlling entrances and exits to parking lots.
Patrols hospital campus and reports safety/security issues according to department procedures.
Provides personal escorts and other routine security services to employees, patients, and visitors.
