About The Position

Excelsior Defense is seeking an Armed Security Officer to join our exceptional team. This part-time role involves protecting client premises, assets, and personnel. The officer will maintain a high visibility presence, prevent illegal or inappropriate actions, and manage access control. Responsibilities include patrolling the property, conducting rounds, and scanning access points within the housing contract. The selected individual must be prompt in patrolling the community to ensure safety.

Requirements

• Current/active D Security License
• Current/active G Security License
• Proven work experience as a security officer or relevant position
• Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
• Must have your own weapon
• Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
• Surveillance skills and detail orientation
• Integrity and professionalism

Responsibilities

• Protect company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
• Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
• Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
• Apprehend criminals and evict violators
• Report and detain any suspicious incidents
• Detailed report writing
• Patrolling the community to making sure everything is safe
• Doing rounds, scanning in different points throughout the property in the housing contract
