Security Armed Officer- Part time
About The Position
The Security Officer Armed Recruit role is a transitional role for newly hired Security Officers preparing for successful transition to an Armed Officer role. During a 120-day transition period, all necessary training and certifications will be completed to allow progression to an Armed Security Officer role. The primary function of this role is to develop the skills, training, and certifications required to carry a weapon and function as a fully Armed Security Officer. An offer of employment is contingent on passing pre-employment screening, including a fitness assessment and psychological evaluation. Incumbents must obtain job-specific certifications within 120 days of employment, or employment will be terminated. Annual fitness assessments and psychological evaluations every 3 years are conditions of continued employment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- State DMV Motor Vehicle Record and current Valid Driver’s license
- 1 year of security, military or police experience (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Complete all necessary training and certifications within 120 days to transition to an Armed Security Officer role.
- Develop the skills, training, and certifications required to carry a weapon and function as a fully Armed Security Officer.
- Pass pre-employment screening, including a fitness assessment and psychological evaluation.
- Pass annual fitness assessments.
- Undergo psychological evaluations every 3 years.
