About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Armed Security Officer for a driving patrol post at a retail grocery location in San Antonio, Texas. The officer will safeguard the site by conducting armed patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring activity and access points, and helping create a welcoming environment for customers and employees. The role requires a valid driver’s license and Texas Level III Armed Certification. The stated pay rate is $15.50 per hour. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 4:30 PM to 11:30 PM. The officer will provide customer service, follow site-specific security procedures and policies, respond to incidents and emergencies, and prepare accurate activity, incident, and daily reports. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on applicable background investigation and drug screening, and the officer must participate in industry-specific security training.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; the post requires driving.
Texas Level III Armed Certification.
At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations, potentially before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to customers, employees, vendors, and visitors by following site-specific security procedures and policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the store, parking areas, delivery and receiving areas, and perimeter to help deter theft, trespassing, and unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations to site leadership and/or law enforcement as appropriate.
Prepare accurate activity, incident, and daily reports while maintaining a professional presence and representing Allied Universal positively.
