As a Armed Security Officer in Glendale, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Must have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and assist with directing individuals to appropriate public service areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting emergency services when needed.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, and security-related observations.
