About The Position

Allied Universal is seeking a professional and dependable Armed Security Officer to join our team. As an Armed Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a Government Building. This is a full-time position with a Monday-Friday morning shift schedule, offering 40 hours per week. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Possess a current Guard Card and Firearm Permit and any other licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations that may be required prior to employment.
Possess effective written and oral communication skills and good interpersonal skills to deal with all levels of client personnel and the general public in a professional manner.
Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative wireless technology for personnel management and fulfilling security duties.
Possess the skills to handle crisis situations at client sites in a calm and efficient manner.
Must have at least 1 year of security experience within the past 3 years; or military and/or law enforcement experience.
Possess a valid driver’s license, required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, enforce site-specific policies, and if appropriate emergency response.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter.
Participate in industry specific security/safety training programs.
