About The Position

In this role Physical Security Officers (PSO’s) can expect to be working in demanding and fast paced environments. PSO’s may find themselves working in a wide range of areas to include medical centers, government facilities, hospitality venues and public events. Additionally PSOs may be asked to work with a firearm. The PSOs mission is to protect all people, information and property assigned, while delivering on high end customer service. PSOs represent the front line of our security services.

Requirements

  • ACT 235 (current)
  • 21 years of age
  • Current and valid DL
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be able to pass PAT and ASO course
  • Must be able to pass drug screen
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient time management skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • Excellent de-escalation skills
  • Proficient firearms skills
  • Extensive use of force knowledge
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background investigation, urinalysis screening and OPS training requirements
  • Ability to work under stress / pressure
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Ability to wear a uniform
  • Ability to pass Physical Agility Test (PAT) Consisting of; Run 100 meters in 66 seconds or less in Armed Security Officer designated uniform; followed by a 10 min break; Perform 30 push-ups (no time limit) followed by a 30 min break. If you rest during the push-ups, you must rest in the up position. Foam block will be in place for push up stop point. Perform 26 sit-ups (no time limit). If you rest during the sit-ups, you must rest in the up position.
  • Ability to use force, up to and including deadly force, when reasonably justified
