About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Security Officer Driver for a government corrections location in Manson, North Carolina. The officer provides customer service to staff, visitors, and members of the public while following site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response protocols. Duties include armed vehicle and foot patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, parking locations, and access points; monitoring and reporting suspicious activity, unauthorized access, hazards, and unusual conditions; and responding professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations. The officer maintains a visible armed presence to help deter prohibited activity and must comply with applicable laws, licensing requirements, weapons policies, and company procedures. This is a full-time position paying $21.50 per hour, with a Monday–Thursday daytime schedule of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, parking locations, and access points.
Monitor and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access attempts, facility hazards, and unusual conditions using required communication and documentation procedures.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established protocols and coordinating with appropriate staff and emergency responders.
Maintain a professional armed presence to help deter prohibited activity while complying with applicable laws, licensing requirements, weapons policies, and company procedures.
