About The Position

As an Armed Security Officer in Patrol Operations supporting a government location in Albuquerque, New Mexico, you will help safeguard clients and provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public. You will conduct visible, routine and random armed patrols, monitor access points, respond to security concerns and emergencies, and document activities in accordance with site and company requirements.

This is a full-time position paying $21.00 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Thursday through Sunday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and assist with visitor direction in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations, coordinating with appropriate personnel and/or public agencies as needed.
• Prepare accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and daily logs in accordance with company and site requirements.
