About The Position

This position supports Protective Services within SecurTec's Physical Security division, safeguarding a government facility classified as critical infrastructure in Miramar, FL. Armed Security Officers assigned to this post are responsible for the protection of personnel, property, and assets at a government facility classified as critical infrastructure. Officers serve as a visible deterrent, control site access, monitor for suspicious activity, and respond to incidents in accordance with post orders and established protocols.

Requirements

Valid Florida Class D Security License
Valid Florida Class G Statewide Firearm License
Prior security experience required
Ability to stand and patrol for extended periods, in varying weather conditions
Strong observation, communication, and report-writing skills
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Reliable transportation
Professional appearance and demeanor

Nice To Haves

Law enforcement or military background preferred
Government or federal facility experience preferred

Responsibilities

Maintain an armed protective presence at all assigned posts
Control and monitor facility access points, verifying credentials and screening visitors
Conduct interior and exterior patrols to identify and address security concerns
Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, and communications equipment
Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and emergencies
Document activity, observations, and incidents in detailed written reports
Enforce site-specific post orders, facility rules, and federal/state regulations
Coordinate with site supervision, client representatives, and emergency responders as needed
Maintain professional appearance, conduct, and communication at all times
